Happy Holidays - 2025 Year In Review
December 19, 2025
We extend our gratitude and warmest wishes to you. As the holiday season approaches, we are taking this opportunity to express our thanks and share some of our highlights from the past year:
- Governor’s General’s Medal in Architecture: along with MJMA we were deeply honoured to be among such distinguished architectural teams to be one of the recipients of the 2024 Governor General’s Medals in Architecture in Canada for the Neil Campbell Rowing Centre. The Awards Ceremony took place on February 13 2025 in Ottawa at Rideau Hall.
- Emilio Raimondo Inducted into the Niagara Falls Arts and Culture Wall of Fame: Emilio Raimondo + Raimondo + Associates Architects were inducted into the Niagara Falls Arts and Culture Wall of Fame, recognizing his lasting contributions to architecture, urban design, and cultural life in the region. The honour reflects decades of work shaping civic, cultural, and community-focused projects throughout Niagara and beyond.
- Continued Collaboration with the Archdiocese of Toronto: We continue our long-standing collaboration with the Archdiocese of Toronto, providing architectural services that support the ongoing stewardship, renewal, and functionality of their facilities. In 2025, we were pleased to attend the Cardinal’s Dinner in Toronto, reinforcing our valued relationship and ongoing engagement with the Archdiocese community.
- Starbucks by the Falls Opens: The new Starbucks by the Falls was completed this year, providing a modern, highly visible commercial destination within one of Niagara Falls’ most active tourism areas. The project enhances the pedestrian experience and contributes to the evolving retail landscape near the Falls.
- 320 Geneva Street – Under Construction: Construction is underway at 320 Geneva Street in St. Catharines. This project advances much-needed housing supply, supporting attainable living options, increased density, and sustainable urban growth, with construction actively underway on site.
- Lakeview Cemetery Mausoleum Moves Forward: The Lakeview Cemetery Mausoleum received City of Thorold Council approval and is now under construction. The project provides a respectful and enduring addition to the cemetery grounds while responding sensitively to its civic and cultural context.
- Neil Campbell Rowing Centre Selected as a 2025 OAA Queen’s Park Pick: The Rowing Centre was selected as one of the Ontario Association of Architects’ 2025 Queen’s Park Picks, celebrating exemplary architecture across the province.
- 5 Baker Street and Parkside Living Apartments Construction Nearing Completion: Both 5-storey apartment projects will contribute to the local housing supply and reinforce the area’s evolving residential character.
- City of Niagara Falls – “At Your Service” Civic Renovations: We worked with the City of Niagara Falls on renovations to City Hall and the MacBain Community Centre as part of the City’s new “At Your Service” initiative. These projects focused on improving accessibility, customer service, and the overall public experience by rethinking how residents interact with municipal services. The renovations supported a more welcoming, efficient, and community-focused civic environment while revitalizing key public buildings.
We look forward to strengthening our connections and fostering collaborations in 2026. Wishing you a New Year Filled with love, hope, and joy.
